Privacy policy
Privacy
Effective date: April 14, 2026. Autism Signals is designed to keep the self-check private and lightweight. This page explains what is stored in your browser, what may be measured for site analytics, and what is not collected.
What stays in your browser
Your answers, current progress, and any reflection notes you type into the summary field are stored locally in your browser using local storage so you can resume where you left off. This information is not sent to us through the self-check flow.
If you click Copy summary, the summary text is placed on your device clipboard at your request. That copy action happens in your browser.
Analytics we may use
We may use privacy-focused analytics to understand overall site usage. This may include high-level events such as starting the reflection, completing it, copying the summary, or clicking a resource link.
We do not use analytics to send your answer choices, reflection notes, copied summary text, or a diagnostic-style profile of your responses.
Information we do not ask for
Autism Signals does not require an account, login, or payment to use the core experience. We do not ask for your name, phone number, mailing address, or other direct identifiers in order to take the self-check.
Service providers and hosting
The site may be hosted by third-party infrastructure providers, and aggregate analytics may be processed by a separate analytics provider if analytics are enabled. Those providers may process technical request data needed to deliver the website.
External links
This site links to third-party resources for further reading. Once you leave Autism Signals, their own privacy practices and terms apply.
Your choices
You can clear locally stored progress by using Start over inside the experience or by clearing site data in your browser settings. You can also avoid leaving notes in the text area if you prefer not to store them locally on your device.
Children
Autism Signals is written for adults exploring their own experiences. It is not designed as a service for children.
Changes to this policy
